The theme in our nursery and afterschool club this month is health and wellbeing.

Is a healthy lifestyle a resolution for 2023? Us too! The theme in our nursery and afterschool club this month is health and wellbeing.

Our children will be getting stuck into some professional sports coaching as part of this month’s theme. Ultimate Kids will be delivering sessions aimed to develop the children’s physical, social and emotional well-being all through sport-style coaching.

The fun fitness activities will include:

  • Making fruit kebabs – to understand the benefits of making healthy food choices
  • Yoga – to see the effect that exercise, stretching and moving your body has on your body
  • Mindfulness sessions – to promote good mental health, too!

Diddi Dance will also be paying us a visit and delivering an exciting dance session designed to help children aged 18 months and above with their coordination, rhythms and balance. The session’s purpose is to nurture the natural love of movement and demonstrate that moving your body can be so fun it doesn’t feel like exercise!

And remember staying healthy means looking after every part of your body! Keeping your mouth healthy is important, too! Make sure children are brushing their teeth for two minutes twice a day and having regular check-ups! Not registered?
