Congratulations Charlotte on your charity chop!

In February, Charlotte had 19 inches of her hair cut off during a charity hair chop, raising over £700 for Centre 56!

As well as raising money for the nursery, Charlotte kindly donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.

“Centre 56 is THE BEST PLACE EVER and I thought it would be kind to raise some money, so I am getting lots of my hair cut off!”

Charlotte is six years old and has been attending Centre 56 since she joined in nursery and still attends after school clubs there. We asked Charlotte what she liked most about Centre 56, and she told us that she loves it there because “you can make new friends, there’s lots of stuff to do and… the food!”

Charlotte tells us that she wanted to raise money for Centre 56 so that the nursery could buy some new toys, telling us proudly that the new trampoline in the sensory room was bought with the money that she raised. Charlotte enjoyed the charity chop and fundraising for Centre 56, allowing her to raise money for a place that she loves.

Well done Charlotte, we are so proud!
