Our festive fundraiser, a Christmas miracle

large collection of presents under a Christmas tree

For the past five weeks, our elves at Centre 56 have been trying to secure a gift, a new pair of festive pyjamas and a hearty meal for all of our children and families.

We launched our gift tag appeal, placing trees across Liverpool city centre, each with gift tags with the name and age of one of the children we look after. On Monday, we headed to these locations to see what ‘Father Christmas’ had left for our children…

We’d like to thank our friends at Redwing for their collection (see above), our friends M&Y over in St Helens:

And all of the staff in Regenda Homes and the Regenda Group. As a result of their generosity, this was our staff room at the end of the day on Monday…

Alongside all of the presents and pyjamas, we also raised over £7,750, allowing us to buy Christmas dinners and extra treats for all of our families. Thank you to every single person who supported our appeal. You have truly given our families a happy Christmas.

We’d like to say a special thank you to Rise Construction Framework, the Philanthropist Committee and AFC Aigburth, as well as BBC Radio Merseyside for giving us a platform to talk about our appeal.

On behalf of the families and children we support – thank you! This will mean so much to the little ones, parents and carers at Centre 56.

You can support Centre 56 all year round, here: Centre 56 (enthuse.com). We rely on your donations to keep providing our vital services who have suffered domestic abuse or fled a crisis situation.

You can keep following our journey in 2023 on our socials to see what we get up to in the New Year.
